Electrical Engineering Manager – Ground Systems

For our Ground Systems division in South San Francisco, CA we are hiring an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a high-performance hardware team and architect the next generation of ground infrastructure.

What you’ll do

• Lead electrical design for docking stations, battery-charging, thermal-management and communication systems
• Build and mentor a multidisciplinary team (digital & power electronics, RF, high-speed networking)
• Own architecture decisions for safety-critical, high-volume, low-cost PCBAs and power-conversion stages
• Drive design-to-cost and design-for-manufacturing from concept through high-volume production
• Ensure compliance with UL, CE, IEC and other international standards for worldwide deployment
• Collaborate closely with Mechanical, Embedded, Manufacturing and Supply-Chain teams

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years of experience in electronics design & system integration
• 2+ years managing and hiring top-tier electrical engineers
• Deep expertise in low-voltage digital and/or power electronics (DC-DC, PFC, battery-charging)
• Hands-on lab skills: scope, power supplies, logic analyzers are part of your daily toolkit
• Proven track record with safety-critical products across full product life-cycles
• BSc/MSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
