School-leaver programme structure

1. 2-year shortened apprenticeship as Retail Merchant (IHK)
2. 18-month professional development to Certified Retail Specialist with Alanus Werkhaus Alfter
3. Optional: Organic food retail qualification (IHK)
4. Optional: Trainer aptitude certificate (AEVO)

Earn up to 4 IHK qualifications within 3.5 years.

Above-tariff apprenticeship pay from 2025
Year 1: €1,290/month Year 2: €1,420/month
Year 3+: standard staff salary

6 weeks’ holiday per year

Your tasks

From day one you learn by taking responsibility in every store department: shelving, quality control, checkout, customer advice. You understand why organic makes a difference and apply your knowledge professionally.

During your further training you take on management tasks (ordering, inventory, marketing, staff scheduling) and first leadership duties.
