Construction Manager (f/m/d) for Gas-Insulated High-Voltage Switchgear Assembly

Your role

As Construction Manager (f/m/d) at Siemens Energy you will supervise the assembly of SF6 and SF6-free gas-insulated high-voltage switchgear (GIS).

After a several-month training and certification programme for GIS Installation Supervisor at our Berlin training centre and on construction sites, you will coordinate global GIS installation projects (focus on Europe) and ensure compliance with Siemens Energy and international quality standards.

• Safe, on-schedule and economical assembly of SF6-insulated or Clean-Air-insulated high-voltage switchgear
• Coordination of all assembly activities with the project management and site management
• Organisation of site logistics in connection with GIS installation
• EHS responsibility for GIS installation scope
• Assembly-accompanying measurements and documentation
• Review of assembly documentation, NCR reporting and reporting to project team
• Support of commissioning teams when required

• Completed vocational training in electrical/power engineering plus professional experience
• Experience in managing small to medium-sized assembly teams is an advantage
• Flexibility and willingness to travel for longer assignments at home and abroad
• Knowledge of power distribution and transmission systems; MS Office skills
• Strong German and English language skills
• Intercultural sensitivity, strong organisational and communication skills and ability to make decisions
