Maintenance Mechanic (all genders)

As a maintenance mechanic in our hydropower team you keep our plants running reliably, making a valuable contribution to Switzerland’s energy supply.

Your responsibilities

• Plan and carry out inspection, maintenance and repair work on mechanical components
• Participate in retrofit and refurbishment projects inside the power plants
• Operate and monitor power-plant control systems
• Perform upkeep of outdoor facilities and machine halls
• Fault finding and rectification on turbines, valves, piping and other mechanical equipment
• Take part in on-call stand-by (approx. 10 weeks/year)

Your profile

• Completed basic mechanical training (Swiss EFA, EFZ Mechanic or equivalent)
• Several years of experience in industrial maintenance an advantage
• Safe, self-reliant and quality-conscious way of working
• Good organisational and documentation skills; comfortable with digital tools
• Team player with a service-oriented mindset
• Willingness to specialise in hydropower
• Residence within a 30-minute radius of Augst
