Commercial Project Manager / Project Controller (Finance & Real Estate) – German Speaking

A Snapshot of Your Day

As Project Controller / Commercial Project Manager you will take full ownership of the finance side of our construction projects and act as the key finance business partner to the real-estate project-management organisation. You will operate in a fast-moving environment with colleagues from Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Operations, Procurement and Legal and, through clear communication, provide accurate financial data and strategic guidance.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Prepare investment proposals together with project directors and take full responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, cost control and reporting for defined project portfolios
• Guarantee IFRS and Local-GAAP-compliant project books with a strong focus on high forecast accuracy
• Set up valid project structures (WBS) based on approved budgets; develop a financial-performance plan aligned to the project schedule; execute accurate month-end project closings on time
• Create and present status reports to senior management
• Work closely with all interfaces to secure the financial targets of each project

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or Accounting (Master’s or CPA advantageous); minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in Finance, Controlling or Project Finance
• Proven SAP skills (mandatory); strong command of FP&A and business-case models (DCF, profitability calculations)
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting cycles as well as CAPEX, cash-flow and cost reporting; very good knowledge of IFRS, ideally experience with PP&E and IFRS 16 leasing
• Business-fluent German and English; Spanish is a plus
• Self-driven, structured and solution-oriented personality with excellent stakeholder-management skills
