Siemens Energy is looking for a qualified Full-Time NDE Project Engineer (Non-Destructive Examination) at the Specialty Services product area located in Mount Pleasant, PA.
Our specialists carry out non-destructive testing and inspection services at Siemens and other OEM power plants worldwide, focusing on the Americas.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead and plan global NDE inspection projects, mainly throughout the Americas, with up to 20% travel annually.
- Provide technical and organizational support to technicians conducting turbine, generator and plant‐component inspections.
- Support customers in outage planning and production control to ensure timely supply of tools, personnel and inspection activities.
- Develop and continuously improve field NDE applications and detailed work instructions.
- Evaluate and integrate new NDE technologies to optimize maintenance solutions.
- Act as liaison between Siemens Energy and external partners during rollout of new inspection techniques.
- Create training materials and conduct theoretical and practical training for NDE staff.
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical training and experience.
- Customer-oriented communication skills combined with ability to work independently and in teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat; CAD skills advantageous.
- High safety and quality awareness with and a self-driven work style.
- Willingness to support flexible schedules and obtain security clearance for unescorted access to U.S. nuclear power plants.
Desirable qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 ASNT Level II NDT certifications (UT, ET, MT, VT, PT, RT, etc.).
- Familiarity with inspection of turbine and generator components.
- Project-management experience and knowledge of Design for Six Sigma and quality assurance.
