Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer – South West

Help us accelerate the global renewable-energy revolution. We need safety-focused, customer-centric smart-meter engineers to represent Octopus Energy in customers’ homes across the South West.

Your day-to-day

• Install and commission dual-fuel smart meters to the highest technical and safety standards.
• Demonstrate the in-home display, explain energy-saving features and answer questions about our green tariffs.
• Complete first-time fixes, carry out safety checks and leave every home tidy.

Essential qualifications & licences

• Valid MOCoPA certificate (issued within the last 2 years)
• Gas Safe CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent)
• Full UK driving licence (max. 6 points)

Package & benefits

• £36,500 base salary (£3,042/month gross) plus up to £2,500 annual performance bonus and fit bonuses
• Additional £15 for every install after your sixth each week
• £25 weekly lunch allowance, company van, fuel, tools and uniform
• Call-out retainer £250 when on rota (1 week in 5) – overtime paid door-to-door
• Saturday premiums: £50 attendance + £70 dual-fuel / £35 single-fuel install
