R&D Engineer (f/m/d) – Testing & Qualification of Surge Arresters & Insulators

Your responsibilities

As a test-field engineer for surge arresters and insulators you will work in our accredited high-voltage laboratory in Berlin. You will independently plan and execute electrical type and development tests on medium-, high- and extra-high-voltage components according to international standards and customer specifications. By applying deep knowledge of measurement methods and test circuits you will guarantee the quality and validity of all test results. You will document test procedures and results comprehensively, continuously improve our laboratory processes and instruct technical staff and students during practical test execution. Your technical expertise will also be used to clarify customer product enquiries and to develop customer-specific solutions together with Business Development and Product Management. In addition, you will actively participate in our international “Agile Release Train” for composite insulators and surge arresters and drive the implementation of demanding development projects (Epics).

Your profile

• University degree in electrical engineering with focus on high-voltage technology or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
• First practical experience in high-voltage testing technology
• Knowledge of applicable test standards for insulators and surge arresters is an advantage
• Proficient in MS Office 365
• Strong team spirit, customer and results orientation, self-initiative and creativity
• Negotiation-level German and English
