EQS System Engineer – Quality System Engineer

Are you passionate about advancing process quality management and driving continuous improvement of quality systems? As our Quality Engineer you will identify critical-to-quality characteristics and control points for GIS (gas-insulated switchgear) and related products, create quality control plans and coach external suppliers. Through system maintenance, data analysis and cross-functional collaboration you will enhance quality performance and serve as the bridge between R&D, manufacturing and customers.

Responsibilities & challenges

• System audits & certification: Lead and maintain integrated management systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001), coordinate customer, certification and internal audits and systematically manage documented information.
• Calibration & equipment management: Plan and execute calibration of all inspection, measuring and test equipment; monitor calibration status to ensure compliance with standards and product requirements.
• System KPIs & improvement: Drive weekly/monthly quality meetings and management reviews; collect, analyse and report key quality KPIs; track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Customer satisfaction: Design and execute customer-satisfaction surveys, analyse feedback and lead related improvement projects to continuously increase customer experience.
• Process optimisation & knowledge management: Identify optimisation potential from audit findings, quality data and customer feedback; promote standardisation and continual system enhancement.
• EQS communication & reporting: Present EQS status and improvement actions to Siemens Energy stakeholders, customers, suppliers, authorities and other entities.
• Inspection data analysis: Consolidate and analyse inspection data, identify quality trends, propose improvements and cooperate cross-functionally to ensure system suitability and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering (mechanical, electrical, automation), quality management or related field.
• ≥ 3 years QEHS system experience; background in high-voltage switchgear or discrete manufacturing preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001, familiarity with ISO 14001 & 45001; auditor, calibration or lead-auditor certification an advantage.
• Proficient in quality tools (8D, QC tools, FMEA) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong cross-functional communication and analytical skills; customer-oriented improvement mindset.
• Fluent in written and spoken English for global collaboration.
