Zipline is transforming global logistics: our autonomous drone networks deliver medical supplies in Africa, serve Walmart customers in the U.S. and cut CO₂ emissions and road traffic. For our California test site we are hiring a Flight Test Operator.

Your responsibilities

• Assemble, pre-flight, launch and recover unmanned aircraft; validate new hardware and software in development.
• Maintain existing fleet and ground equipment; prepare next-generation prototypes.
• Execute system tests to verify performance and design of new technology.
• Conduct FAA certification tests and demonstrations.
• Continuously improve processes, safety protocols and components; provide technical feedback to engineering.
• Support global scale-up; up to 25 % domestic & international travel.
• Work flexible shifts (day, swing, night, weekend, rotation).

Your profile

• 1+ years experience in aviation or aircraft maintenance (A&P license preferred).
• UAS/drone or RC model flying experience ideal.
• Strong aptitude for electromechanics and troubleshooting; lift up to 25 kg.
• Enthusiastic about spending 85 % of your workday outdoors at an open hangar in Northern California foothills.
• Self-driven, process-oriented, excellent communication in English.
• Willingness to travel and valid driver’s license.

Full-time and contract opportunities available. Must be open to night/weekend shifts. U.S. citizen or Green Card holder only; relocation to Yolo County, CA required.
