IT Security Architect – Virtualization, Printing & Scanning

Your Day at a Glance

As IT Security Architect you implement cybersecurity governance for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, printing and scanning services. Working closely with virtual-client, print-service, endpoint and cybersecurity teams, you shape secure technology designs.

• Analyse and design secure architectures for VDI, print & scan, weighing risk and industry best practice
• Evaluate business requirements and prepare security-driven architecture decisions
• Apply the Siemens Energy architecture and security framework to advance target architectures for virtualization, printing and scanning
• Define technology constraints, guardrails and reference security architectures; perform solution reviews with cybersecurity teams
• Report regularly to End-User Solutions and Digital Workplace leadership and help introduce new security practices

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or cyber-security; postgraduate qualification preferred
• 5–7 years IT-security experience, incl. 3 years security architecture for workplace solutions; hands-on expertise with Microsoft Intune, Defender, Purview and Entra ID
• Deep understanding of device hardening, CIS benchmarks, risk assessment and ISO 27001/NIST standards; experience maintaining security compliance during migrations, carve-outs and M&A
• Proven record of securing virtualization platforms (Omnissa Horizon, Workspot, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, OpenShift)
• Strong knowledge of Entra ID/Active Directory authentication, LAN/WAN networking and encryption technologies (TLS, AES, IPSEC) within VDI and print/scan environments
• Experience with secure printing & scanning, protocols (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SCIM, LDAP, Kerberos) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Analytical mindset, excellent communication skills and strong team orientation
