We’re looking for passionate Technical Lead to join the 5F Product Engineering team in Orlando. As a Technical Integrator, your day centers around leading technical issues and product development for 5000F product. The Technical Lead is the cognizant engineer for Gas Turbine new unit and Modernizations & Upgrade products for SGT6-5000F. The scope of responsibility extends to coordinating support from all other organizations directed towards development, negotiations and implementations for the new unit and Modernizations and Upgrade (M&U) product line.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead Validation Issues for New Unit and Modernization and Upgrades products through 8-steps Issue Resolution process.
• Lead and/or guide product development efforts to support project teams with your expertise throughout the entire development process
• Driving technical decisions, interface clarification and system design
• Conduct and/or support integration/frame reviews (as needed)
• Frame interface in module for target setting and issue resolution
• Conduct risk management at modules and system level
• Provide engineering support for the product implementation
• Provide technical support to marketing in support of proposals for sale of new unit and Modernization & Upgrades.
• Go-to person in frame for detailed technical module status of respective programs.
• 10-25% travel is expected in support of customer meetings, site walk-downs, vendor support, testing, and product implementation.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university/college. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 4+ years of successful experience in the design, testing, or manufacture of turbo machinery or rotating equipment. Advanced degree may be substituted for experience, where applicable.
• Good knowledge of issue resolution including root cause assessment, solution development and validation.
• Detailed Knowledge of at least one of the gas turbine components/modules (Combustion, Turbine, Compressor)
• Basic knowledge on Secondary Air System (SAS), Whole Engine Model (WEM) and Thermodynamic for the gas or steam turbine (all LGT frames), longitudinal cross section
• Knowledge regarding design, manufacturing, supply chain, and organizational aspects
• Demonstrated ability to direct and motivate multi-skilled professional team.
• Strong engineering background, communications skills and network building.
• Proven examples of proactive leadership and initiative.
• Strong project management skill is preferred
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
