Position Summary

The Lead Technical Advisor is a key technical leader providing advanced expertise throughout all project phases—from port operations, site deliveries and wind-turbine installation to final hand-over. Acting without formal disciplinary reports, the Lead TA leads and coordinates Technical Advisors and subcontractors on site, ensuring full compliance with Nordex standards, quality targets and strict HSE requirements. The role serves as primary technical contact for installation challenges and supports continuous team development through on-the-job training and mentoring.

What You’ll Do

  • Enforce Nordex safety protocols across all operations.
  • Lead assigned wind-farm projects; coordinate TAs and subcontractors in every project phase.
  • Align with Site & TA Managers to plan and monitor activities, schedules and quality targets.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex installation issues.
  • Drive strict HSE compliance and proactively resolve safety concerns.
  • Deliver on-the-job training to TAs and contractors, reinforcing best practices.
  • Set clear performance and quality expectations; identify skill gaps and implement development plans together with the TA Manager.
  • Mentor and coach TAs to strengthen technical competence and continuous-improvement culture.
  • Participate in site meetings, report on technical/quality matters and support hand-over processes.
  • Track progress, identify risks/deviations and initiate corrective actions to ensure on-time completion.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and creation of training materials that boost overall team capability.

What You Have

  • 5+ years supervisory experience in mechanical/electrical/construction; wind-farm construction preferred.
  • Technical or engineering degree – or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong background in quality management/control and wind-turbine assembly & installation.
  • Proficient in MS Office and relevant project/quality software.
  • Valid driver’s licence; willingness to travel extensively (> 80 %).
  • Body weight ≤ 120 kg / 265 lbs to safely use fall-protection equipment.
  • Fluency in English; French highly preferred for Quebec sites; Spanish or German advantageous.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • Proven leadership, excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Physically fit to climb towers up to 122 m, work in confined spaces, carry 46 kg and operate under all weather conditions.

Compensation & Benefits

CAD 53.00 – 61.00 per hour (non-exempt) plus up to 5 % bonus. Additional benefits include life, health & dental insurance, long-term disability, weekly indemnity and RRSP matching up to CAD 5,000.
