Your Day at a Glance

You will maintain, repair and inspect drivetrain components (gearbox, main shaft, main bearing, generator bearings) and their electrical periphery. About 95 % of your time is spent directly on wind farms – in confined spaces and at height.

• Perform borescope inspections on main shaft, bearings and gearbox
• Carry out gearbox repairs (high-speed bearings, shafts, mechanical pumps)
• Install and test electronic systems according to schematics and specifications
• Troubleshoot drivetrain-related issues (pumps, sensors, brakes, cooling units, filters)
• Support major corrective actions (crane work) for gearbox and main-shaft exchanges
• Conduct drone inspections of tower and rotor blades (FAA Part-107 licence required)
• Prepare and follow up inspection and repair reports
• Train and coach junior technicians and local crews

What You Bring

• High-school diploma or GED; 2–4 years’ experience in wind energy or similar
• Proficient in reading electrical and hydraulic schematics
• FAA Part-107 drone licence preferred
• Experience with borescope, laser-alignment tool and digital photo documentation
• Willingness to travel up to 95 % nationwide; valid driver’s licence with clean record
• Legal authorization to work in the US, no visa sponsorship required
