Perception CV/ML Software Engineer – Offboard Autonomy

The Role
As a Senior Perception Engineer on the Droid team you will own cloud-side perception pipelines that scale our backyard delivery autonomy. You will build semantic & geometric 3-D world models from satellite and aerial surveys, identify deliverable zones, and train/deploy large CNN/Transformer models for segmentation, 3-D geometry and customer preference learning. Your code ships to production, not the lab.

• Design and run cloud autonomy pipelines
• Create semantic & geometric delivery-zone models
• Train and deploy large-scale CNN/Transformer models
• Build evaluation & validation infrastructure
• Integrate with vehicle autonomy stacks
• Drive architecture decisions for global scale

Requirements

• 5+ years production deep-learning perception experience
• Strong background in 3-D geometry, classical CV & remote-sensing mapping
• Hands-on CNN/Transformer training, data annotation & pipeline building
• Outcome-focused engineering mindset
• Robotics/autonomy field deployment experience a plus

Compensation & Location
USD 180k–240k annual base (≈ USD 15k–20k/month gross) plus equity, bonus and full benefits. Based in San Francisco, CA.
