R&D Mechanical Design Engineer – Combustion

Your Day-to-Day

As an R&D Mechanical Design Engineer – Combustion you will design and develop gas-turbine combustor and burner components exposed to extreme temperatures and dynamic loads while ensuring lifetime and high performance. Full ownership from design to installation with NX and Teamcenter.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize mechanical solutions for burners and combustors
• Create concepts, 3-D models and drawings in CAD (NX)
• Select materials and manufacturing methods for hot-section parts
• Lead development from idea to finished product, incl. reviews and analyses
• Technical interface with suppliers and in-house workshop
• Continuous improvement of methods, processes and standards

Your Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in mechanical design, preferably high-temperature or turbomachinery
• Strong 3-D CAD skills (NX preferred) and basic strength-calculation knowledge
• Self-driven problem-solver who works well in cross-functional teams
• Fluent English; Swedish is an advantage

Meriting

• Gas-turbine, welding or additive-manufacturing experience
• SAP and PLM system knowledge
