Senior Backend Engineer

Help shape the future of mobility with Via. We develop sustainable, intelligent transportation systems worldwide and are looking for reinforcements for our R&D team in Tel Aviv.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, build and scale robust microservices from concept to production
• Own features throughout their entire lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance
• Shape system architecture and define service boundaries for global usage
• Write performant, reliable and maintainable production code
• Collaborate closely with product, design and engineering teams to deliver customer-focused features
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies and continuously improve development practices
• Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, mentorship and best practices
• Provide technical leadership and share knowledge to strengthen the team

Your Profile:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or comparable practical experience
• 6+ years of backend experience with scalable production systems
• Strong skills in Python, Go, Java or Node.js
• Solid knowledge of system design, distributed systems, data structures and design patterns
• Eagerness to learn, passion for innovation and growing sense of responsibility
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
