Tier 3 Core Finishing – 2nd Shift 2 pm–10 pm

A Snapshot of Your Day

You will finish cores for turbine blades and vanes: remove burrs, smooth surfaces with files, ultrasonic tools and sandpaper, inspect for cracks and repair damaged cores using alumina-based material according to work instructions at the Gibsonton, Florida site.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Join daily production meetings to review schedules and prioritise work orders, meeting daily targets set by leads and management.
• Use the Mercury ERP system to access work instructions and collaborate with the team to hit production quotas.
• Handle cores with acute care to prevent surface damage, cracking or over-stressing.
• Visually and magnified inspect cores for defects, cracks and tool marks; work in sections and sequences.
• Update documentation in the system and on work orders as required.
• Perform other duties and cross-training as assigned.

What You Bring

• High-school diploma or GED.
• Interest in industrial machinery and basic math skills in the metric system.
• Ability to read engineering instructions and mechanical aptitude.
• Legal authorisation to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
• Export licence from US authorities (BIS/DDTC) required.

Additional Eligibility (Internal Applicants)

• Sign-off on Tier 1 & 2 Core Finishing and Multiwall Advanced Cores (DSC & Criteria).
• Maintain ≥ 74 % productivity, < 5 % scrap and < 10 % rework (monthly).
