Winding Assembler – Large Power Transformers

Location: Our new Siemens Energy Transformers Manufacturing Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA; production start planned for late 2026.

Your Role
Finish and assemble winding blocks for medium and large power transformers, read technical drawings, verify tolerances, record quality data and support drying & pressing processes. You will operate overhead cranes and forklifts, perform welding tasks and create or maintain technical documentation. In addition, you will help train new employees and ensure compliance with EHS, QA and cyber-security standards.

Your Profile

• High-school diploma or equivalent with relevant technical training/experience
• At least 1 year of experience assembling winding blocks for medium and large transformers
• Ability to read complex technical drawings, take precise measurements and perform inspections
• Willingness to pass Keys certification and blueprint-reading tests at a local community college
• Acquisition of forklift, critical-lift crane and working-at-height licences
• Pass standard hearing, vision and pulmonary tests; good command of English
• Availability for a three-month training assignment in Mexico, Brazil or Germany with relocation support
