Customer Operations Specialist – EV Leasing

Role overview

Join Octopus Electric Vehicles as the primary point of contact for drivers switching to zero-carbon motoring. From order to return you will guide customers through every step of their leasing journey, turning complex logistics into reassuring conversations and potential complaints into five-star Trustpilot reviews.

What you will do

• Provide five-star phone support: handle inbound and outbound calls with empathy and clarity.
• Own the driver journey: act as a personal project manager from order placement to vehicle return, removing blockers and communicating updates.
• Protect brand reputation: proactively delight customers and aim for top-tier feedback after every interaction.
• Solve problems creatively: find fair solutions when manufacturer delays or specification changes occur, keeping drivers mobile and satisfied.
• Maintain operational resilience: manage a high-volume, fast-changing workload while maintaining high standards and a positive attitude.

• Excellent telephone manner and natural rapport-building skills.
• Genuine passion for service and a willingness to go the extra mile.
• Resilience in a start-up scale-up environment; comfort with ambiguity and change.
• Strong attention to detail throughout contracting and delivery processes.
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Interest in or knowledge of electric vehicles (preferred but not required).

Work model

Hybrid: minimum two days per week in our Brighton or London office.
