Application Engineer (m/f/d) - Renewable Energy Systems

The Application Engineering team evaluates customer inquiries and advises on technical feasibility and optimization. Working closely with sales, solution management and project management, you will develop customized solutions for international EPC and battery-storage projects.

Your responsibilities

• Technical customer consultation: Answer complex questions on EPC and battery-storage projects, create and review single-line diagrams, communication diagrams and plant layouts
• Feasibility analysis: Assess technical requirements from customer inquiries and tenders; coordinate next steps with internal and external partners
• Project development & sales support: Optimize energy-supply concepts and collaborate closely with the sales team on self-initiated project developments
• Technical coordination: Align project requirements with EPC subcontractors, utilities and technical consultants to ensure full realizability
• Customer-relationship management: Expand existing customer relationships, acquire new customers and develop tailored product solutions together with the sales team

Your profile

• EPC experience: Proven track record with high-voltage installations, wind, PV or battery-storage systems
• Grid-connection know-how: Good knowledge of grid-connection rules for electrical installations; experience with substations and switchgear advantageous
• Software skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, EPLAN or comparable engineering software
• Expertise: Degree in electrical engineering or industrial engineering plus several years of experience installing electrical systems
• Personal strengths: Results-oriented, strong communication and consulting skills, willingness to travel, very good German and English
