Offshore Automation Commissioning Engineer

Help shape the future of energy with us! In this dynamic role you will commission complex, customer-specific automation and IT solutions for Command & Control systems, Power Management Systems, HVAC and auxiliary systems on offshore HVDC platforms. These platforms are developed together with international partners and installed worldwide at sea. Work at the interface of innovation and safety – both at our shipyard and on offshore construction sites.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Safe and reliable commissioning of systems at the shipyard and offshore
• Optimisation of systems and interfaces plus independent fault diagnosis
• Primary on-site contact for customers
• Advising customer operating personnel on performance adjustments
• Preparation of commissioning documentation and representing the company during client acceptances
• Acting as electrical specialist (EFK) to ensure safe working conditions after ECC issuance

What You Bring

• Technical degree (Bachelor/Master) in Computer Science, Automation Engineering or comparable
• Professional experience in automation and programming
• Knowledge of SIMATIC PCS 7; experience with CopaData Zenon is a plus
• Independent, quality-conscious working style
• Team player with high adaptability and intercultural openness
• Very good English skills, German advantageous
• Willingness for national and international travel and several-week offshore assignments
