Transformer Mechanical Assembler - Large Power Transformers

As a Transformer Mechanical Assembler you will perform final assembly of medium to large power transformers, prepare them for testing, and disassemble tested units for shipping. How You’ll Make an Impact

• Prepare and assemble transformer components (tanks, covers, radiators, etc.) for final assembly
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts; prepare the unit for testing
• Support the testing process and disassemble accessories after testing
• Conduct quality inspections and document processes
• Train and mentor new hires
• Plan and review tasks according to production schedule and manufacturing standards
• Comply with all EHS, QA, CyberSec and other system guidelines

What You Bring

• High-school diploma or equivalent technical qualification with relevant experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience assembling or disassembling large equipment
• Crane experience and willingness to obtain crane-operator certification
• Math skills, ability to read and interpret complex drawings, perform precise measurements
• Willingness to complete "Keys" literacy test and blueprint-reading course at local college
• Willingness to obtain and maintain forklift license and certification for working at heights
• Pass standard hearing, vision and pulmonary-function tests
• Strong English reading, writing and comprehension skills
• Willingness to complete a 3-month training assignment in Mexico, Brazil or Germany with full relocation support and compensation
