Lube Technician

As a Lube Technician at SAM by Via, you will carry out preventative maintenance and minor repairs on buses, vehicles, and shop equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform highly varied, complex service operations on vehicles and equipment
• Repair or replace any subsystem of heavy, medium, and light-duty SAM fleet vehicles
• Collaborate with mechanics, drivers, and transportation supervisors
• Maintain strong supplier and vendor relationships

What You Bring:

• Knowledge of design, adjustment, operation, maintenance, and repair of SAM vehicle and shop systems
• Physical stamina: stand 8 hours, lift 100 lbs, carry parts and supplies
• Excellent manual dexterity
• Education: High-school diploma or GED; trade/vocational training or manufacturer courses preferred
• Valid SD driver’s license
• Willing to obtain CDL learner permit
• Pass pre-employment physical
• Clear drug screen and background check: no felonies, clean MVR, no DUI/DWI or reckless driving, max 2 speeding tickets

Mechanic class (AA, A, B, C) assessed during interview.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay: $26.10 – $28.82/hr based on experience
• Benefits: health, dental, life insurance; 401(k) up to 6 % match; holiday & vacation pay; tool allowance; bonus days
