Specialist, Global Support Structure Excellence

Vestas – global wind technology leader – is seeking an experienced Specialist for Global Support Structure Excellence focusing on offshore wind. Shape innovative methods, optimize technical outcomes and drive standardisation across our offshore projects worldwide.

Your responsibilities

• Provide technical authority for load analysis and design of offshore support structures; advise and coach global & regional engineering teams
• Identify market trends and project requirements to develop and deploy standardised processes, roles and responsibilities across all regions
• Define strategic vision and long-term roadmap for the Global Offshore Support Structure Solutions function aligned with corporate goals
• Lead initiatives to improve methodologies and implement engineering tools ensuring consistent design and analysis approaches globally
• Evaluate and document optimisation potential for tower and foundation design while controlling technical and commercial risks
• Design structured training and development plans to support onboarding, upskilling and continuous professional growth of the global community

Your qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Marine Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years techno-commercial experience in load and support structure design for offshore wind turbines
• Sound knowledge of relevant standards and structural analysis software (e.g. ANSYS, SESAM, Bladed)
• Fluent written and spoken English; German language beneficial
• Strong project-management skills, solution-oriented mindset, excellent communication and collaboration abilities in an international setting
