Head of Manufacturing Support Metallurgical (f/m/d)

Your Day-to-Day
Lead a global team of ~15 engineers across four sites in Germany and the USA. Head the “Turbine Manufacturing Support Metallurgical and Castings” group: manage, set strategic direction and support the design & manufacture of turbine blades, vanes and ring segments for large gas turbines. Ensure quality, design-for-assembly, on-time delivery, product cost, digital integration and volume flexibility together with the Turbine Module and manufacturing functions. Work closely with stakeholders in engineering, production, service, procurement and programme management to deliver components within design tolerances. Your contribution is critical to maintaining a steady component supply for the large gas-turbine business.
What You Bring

• University degree in engineering or manufacturing plus 10+ years’ experience
• Leadership in complex engineering, product-development or R&D environments; proven ability to inspire global teams in an international matrix
• Sound knowledge of modern manufacturing technologies, preferably investment casting; understanding of metallurgical processes, material properties and quality assurance
• Experience with the Product Process and Qualification (PPQ) process for blades, vanes and ring segments
• Strategic, business-oriented mindset; strong organisational, communication and project-management skills
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally; fluent German and English
