Module Technical Lead – Converter & Electrical

Lead the technical development of core electrical systems in modern wind turbines.
As Module Technical Lead – Converter & Electrical at Vestas you will drive the engineering execution of major product-development projects and actively advance the energy transition.

Location: Aarhus (DK) or Porto (PT)

Responsibilities

• Overall technical ownership of converter and electrical components in development projects
• Define requirements, manage interfaces and analyse risks (DFMEA, ConOps, etc.)
• Lead cross-functional teams without direct line authority
• Run design reviews and report progress, risks and decisions to senior management
• Integrate new technologies into serial products and ensure quality until manufacturing start

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical, Energy or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 6 years of experience developing large-scale electrical systems
• Solid knowledge of systems-engineering tools (requirement management, functional modelling)
• Good command of project-management methods (PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum)
• Preferred: hands-on experience with power electronics, transformers, switchgear or cable systems; fluent English
