Your role
- Develop mathematical models for competing demands on Via’s system.
- Create online algorithms for real-time decision-making, optimizing system utilization while maintaining high service quality for riders.
- Design and implement highly efficient, scalable algorithmic solutions for large-scale, real-world operational demands.
- Apply statistical methods to analyze demand, traffic, and fleet performance, generating insights that drive algorithm development.
Your profile
- M.Sc./Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or similar.
- Strong academic research background in relevant fields.
- Deep expertise in algorithms, with focus on graph theory and combinatorial optimization.
- Minimum 2 years hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying production-grade algorithms.
- Analytical mindset capable of simplifying complex real-world problems into relevant mathematical models.
- Python experience is an advantage.
- Fast learner with high adaptability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Hands-on attitude to implement ideas in code.
