Commercial Project Manager

Your Day-to-Day

As a Commercial Project Manager you will work in a dynamic environment and take full P&L responsibility for direct projects in the GT switchgear and transformer business in Oman. You will play a key role in optimizing financial results and ensuring high-quality bids while collaborating closely with various functions.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Execute financial and commercial activities in line with Siemens Energy Project Excellence standards and Financial Reporting Guidelines
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, optimizing financial KPIs such as project gross profit, cash flow and assets
• Monitor, control and report project costs, assets, liabilities and cash flow; identify deviations and propose corrective actions
• Prepare project forecasts, ensure timely project-related invoicing in accordance with customer contracts and regulations
• Provide commercial and financial reports for project reviews, recommend action plans and contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Proactively identify risks, manage currency exposure and maintain audit-proof project documentation

What You Bring

• University degree in finance, accounting or related commercial discipline, preferably with certification in commercial project management
• 3-5 years of experience in contract negotiation, commercial project management or financial project controlling, ideally in the transmission sector
• Proficient in MS Office and SAP, strong analytical and solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication skills in English, convincing negotiation and networking abilities
• High degree of independence in day-to-day operations, resilience even in time-critical situations
• Experience in international and multicultural teams, integrity and strong teamwork
