Compressor Commissioning and Controls Engineer

Your Day-to-Day Mission

As a Field Service Commissioning & Controls Engineer you will be responsible for the startup and maintenance of Siemens Energy, Dresser and non-OEM compressors and auxiliaries worldwide. Acting as the key technical interface between customer and company, you will work closely with management, sales and technical support to safeguard service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently commission compressors, control and auxiliary systems in full compliance with OEM specifications
• Troubleshoot and optimize control platforms such as Siemens S7/PCS7/T3000, Allen-Bradley and ABB
• Interpret P&IDs, electrical and control documentation as well as OEM installation instructions
• Perform root-cause analyses and compile detailed technical service reports
• Document all activities and provide improvement recommendations for future upgrades
• Ensure Zero-Harm by strictly following all EHS policies of Siemens Energy and customers
• Work day/night shifts and weekends under harsh conditions (heat, cold, noise)
• Communicate professionally with clients and identify opportunities for additional scope

Your Qualifications

• Engineering degree plus 5-7 years of proven field experience in turbo-compressor commissioning
• Hands-on expertise in MCC, electric motors, variable-speed drives, loop testing, calibration, surge mapping, lube-oil flushing
• Familiarity with Siemens Energy and Dresser-Rand compressor technology is beneficial
• Solid process and compressor know-how to ensure efficient system optimization
• Strong analytical mindset for troubleshooting and solution finding
• Basic commercial understanding of contract scope and change-order potential
• Global travel willingness, offshore medical clearance and mobility
• Physical fitness for ladder climbing, prolonged standing and emergency evacuation
