Financial Accountant

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a member of the Siemens Energy Accounting team, you ensure compliance with accounting laws and regulations, review and analyse financial figures, discuss accounting topics with business partners and execute accounting tasks and controls. Daily collaboration with colleagues from various countries via e-mail or live meetings is standard.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Prepare, analyse and report monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements; keep current with internal guidelines and external accounting standards
• Focus on General Ledger accounting activities
• Align and review shared-service-centre activities
• Prepare and consolidate balance sheets and P&L statements under IFRS, GAAP or local standards
• Analyse and evaluate assets and liabilities
• Contribute analyses for the annual group management report
• Lead projects to improve overall finance processes
• Train Accounting Operations staff on new standards and guidelines

What You Bring

• Passion for renewable energy and commitment to driving the energy transition
• University degree in Business Administration with focus on Accounting
• Several years of accounting experience in a multinational industrial company or external audit firm
• Experience in IFRS group / hub accounting and familiarity with tax rates and recoverable interest rates
• Strong SAP skills
• Business-fluent English (written and spoken)
• Ability to think and act within complex international structures and processes
