Head of Climate Certificates & Dry Bulk Trading (f/m/d)

Join Axpo as Head of Climate Certificates & Dry Bulk Trading and lead a high-performing team in the fast-moving carbon and bulk-commodity markets. You will take proprietary trading positions and expand trading regionally.

Your responsibilities:

• Proprietary trading in emissions allowances, climate certificates and related fuels such as coal
• Lead and integrate a team of traders and analysts, driving knowledge transfer
• Expand trading into new regions (e.g. Asia, US) and products (e.g. freight)
• Provide market access for hedging to other desks
• Further develop in-house models and enhance market forecasting together with trading and analytics teams
• Active member of the Merchant Trading Management Team, shaping strategic direction and growth

Your profile:

• Several years’ experience in commodity trading
• Master’s or PhD in business or natural sciences
• Trading track record within a bank, trading house, fund or utility
• Proven strong P&L performance
• Expert knowledge of European emissions markets (compliance & voluntary) and other energy markets
• Experience in managing traders or analysts
• Excellent communication skills and a fundamental trading approach
