HVDC and FACTS Field Service Engineer

Your Day-to-Day

As an HVDC and FACTS Field Service Engineer you ensure the environmentally sound operation of FACTS stations. You execute maintenance and repair of state-of-the-art FACTS and HVDC systems – including Static Var Compensation (SVC), Statcoms and synchronous condensers – propose improvements and support large electrical substation and power-plant projects. The role requires frequent travel.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Service and repair FACTS/HVDC equipment in accordance with industry standards
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, software updates and spare-parts management
• Troubleshoot and repair FACTS/HVDC hardware, recommend performance upgrades
• Lead tailgate meetings, report safety, security and environmental incidents
• Coordinate your own travel and accommodation logistics
• Complete time, expense and field-service reports through online tools
• Uphold Siemens EHS policies and comply with all relevant regulations
