Lead Commissioning Engineer

As Lead Commissioning Engineer at Siemens Energy you will oversee commissioning and testing of complex electrical projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards. Leading a technical team, managing project delivery and serving as primary client contact, you will conduct hands-on testing and fault diagnosis while collaborating closely on engineering, design and acceptance testing of large-scale systems such as power plants, substations and energy storage facilities.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Leadership & Project Management: Lead installation and testing teams, manage technical project execution and act as main contact for clients and third parties
• Testing & Commissioning: Conduct and oversee comprehensive testing of high-voltage transformers, breakers, switchgear, protection and relay systems
• Engineering & Documentation: Perform basic and detailed engineering, ensure complete technical documentation and collaborate on technical concepts
• Problem-solving & Support: Provide technical support, identify and resolve electrical issues, deliver on-site and remote customer training
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure projects meet regulatory requirements, specifications and internal standards

What You Bring

• 15 years OEM experience testing high-voltage substation equipment including transformers, breakers and switchgear
• PMP certification or in progress preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Flexible, highly motivated with strong work ethic
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; French an asset
• Ability to travel to sites as required
• Valid Canadian work permit, permanent residence or citizenship
