Your Day in a NutshellYou support manufacturing plants in developing safe, cost-effective repair methods for wind-turbine blades, balancing aerodynamic/structural performance, repair cost and HSE requirements. You identify quality and cost-improvement opportunities through design adjustments, tolerance updates and enhanced repair processes while driving production innovation and automation for large blades.
How You’ll Make an Impact- Design structural repair methods to correct deviations, optimising blade viability, cost and HSE.
- Drive quality and cost-reduction initiatives via Design-for-Manufacturing, tolerance updates and repair-process improvements.
- Support innovation and automation projects for large-blade manufacturing.
- Analyse in-field or transport blade damage, determine root cause and define containment/ repair plans.
- Perform structural calculations, simulations and mechanical tests.
- Act as interface between engineering and plants; align on quick fixes, non-conformities and production tests.
What You Bring- Bachelor’s+ in mechanical engineering / structural analysis or related.
- 5+ years’ wind-industry experience preferred.
- Deep understanding of composite structures; blade technology advantageous.
- Strong communicator who values listening and knowledge sharing.
- Passion for continuous improvement and automation.
- Fluent English (written & spoken) for a multicultural environment.
- Structured, self-driven, capable of managing multiple assignments.
