A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role you lead strategic sourcing of specialized technical services and electrical equipment across North America, ensuring competitiveness, compliance, risk mitigation and project fit. You collaborate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Logistics, EHS and key suppliers to secure high-quality, on-time and cost-effective deliveries.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Identify national and international demand and develop sourcing strategies for services and electrical equipment.
• Lead RFPs, technical evaluations and negotiations on price, schedule and commercial terms.
• Procure technical services (assembly, maintenance, commissioning, engineering) while meeting EHS requirements and Siemens Energy standards.
• Develop, qualify and manage suppliers through due-diligence and performance monitoring.
• Perform risk analyses, reduce single-source dependencies and build new strategic supply options.
• Track deliverables, quality deviations, delays and drive dispute resolution.
• Attend on-site alignment meetings to ensure supplier scope meets project needs.
• Manage procurement KPIs (savings, OTD, FCF, compliance).

What You Bring

• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the energy sector.
• Strong background in contracting technical services and purchasing electrical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings.
• Advanced English, proficiency in SAP ERP and MS Office.
• Results-oriented, resilient and strong negotiation skills in challenging situations.
• Analytical mindset, strategic thinking and ability to collaborate across functions.
