Service Supervisor – Special Tasks

The Special Tasks Brazil department carries out the most complex and critical operations in the maintenance of Vestas and multibrand wind turbines. We perform highly specialized interventions that demand precision, operational control and highly trained teams.

The Main Components team leads crane operations and the replacement of major components: gearbox, generator, transformer, blades and main shaft. We are specialized in post-serious-incident operations, executing complete or partial turbine dismantling and reassembly with maximum precision and in compliance with global standards. Our goal is to deliver safe, efficient and high-performance interventions that increase wind-farm availability and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Keep the team motivated, engaged and safe while fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
• Lead by safety: conduct risk analyses, toolbox talks and reinforce safe behaviour as a core value.
• Develop, coach and assess technicians, preparing future leaders.
• Oversee technical quality during major-component replacements.
• Coordinate teams during crane operations and critical Main Components activities.
• Lead post-serious-incident operations, ensuring precision and process compliance.
• Prepare activity schedules, align expectations and report progress to stakeholders.
• Manage field activities with suppliers, customers and internal teams.
• Approve timesheets, expenses and travel requests when required.
• Availability for frequent travel, acting as daily on-site leader.
• Champion safety, ethics, quality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• English desirable (speaking, active listening and writing).
• Valid driving licence and full availability for travel.
• Proficient in MS Office; SAP/Salesforce desirable.
• Able to obtain and maintain Vestas internal safety certifications.
• Experience leading or technically supporting turbine installation/commissioning.
• Minimum 3 years in wind energy.
• Experience in crane manoeuvres during major corrective campaigns.
• Experience in field-activity planning.
