Sioux Area Metro Utility Worker

Sioux Area Metro is South Dakota’s largest transit provider. Our mission: create positive social and economic impact by offering safe, reliable transportation to everyone who lives, works, or plays in Sioux Falls.

Your role as Utility Worker at SAM by Via:

• Clean buses, shelters, and facilities
• Perform grounds-keeping and light building maintenance
• Additional duties discussed during interview

What you bring:

• Basic HVAC, carpentry, plumbing know-how
• Valid South Dakota driver’s license
• Willing to obtain CDL learner’s permit
• Pass pre-employment physical
• Clear drug screen & background check: no felonies, clean MVR, no DUI/DWI or reckless-driving convictions, max 2 speeding tickets
• Minimum age 21

Pay & Benefits:

• Final wage set by experience, knowledge, and skills
• Pay: $21.70/hour (≈ $3,759/month, 40 h/week)
• Benefits: health, dental, life coverage; 401(k); clothing, tool, holiday, vacation & bonus-day allowances
• Shift bidding by seniority
