Job Description

We are hiring two experienced Site Design Coordinators (permanent or contract) to lead civil-design coordination on major Waste-to-X projects in Ellesmere Port and Teesside. These are full-time, site-based roles; local candidates or those willing to commute are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all civil-design deliverables from subcontractors, liaising closely with the Lead Civil Engineer.
• Verify compliance with contract, programme, budget, HSE and quality requirements.
• Manage design interfaces between external consultants and internal engineering teams; set and monitor release schedules.
• Review designs for constructability, flag risks and propose sound technical solutions.
• Represent the civil design function in project meetings and maintain clear stakeholder communication.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Architecture.
• Proven design-coordination experience on large civil, industrial or process-plant projects; consultancy and contractor exposure advantageous.
• Strong planning, communication and negotiation skills; solution-oriented and highly organised.
• Solid understanding of civil QA procedures; fluent English essential, additional languages a plus.
