Smart Meter Engineer (Scotland)

Help us accelerate the global renewable-energy revolution. Octopus Energy is hiring Smart Meter Engineers across Scotland to deliver safe, customer-first installations in homes.

Your day-to-day

• Install and commission electricity and gas smart meters
• Explain to customers how their new meter and in-home display work and how they can cut energy use
• Represent Octopus Energy professionally in customers’ homes

Essential qualifications

• MOCoPA certificate obtained within the last 3 years (evidence required)
• Gas Safe: CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent)
• Full UK driving licence with ≤ 6 penalty points

• £36,500 base salary (£3,042/month gross)

Overtime & call-out

• One-in-five-week call-out rota (£250 retainer; door-to-door pay if called)
• Saturday working: £50 attendance + £70 dual-fuel install / £35 single-fuel install
