Your Day at a Glance
You will qualify suppliers for machining processes on gas-turbine components and provide full technical support. Together with partners you own qualification, quality, schedule, and cost. You develop and industrialize new manufacturing processes at suppliers and act as the primary contact for technical and quality issues—externally and internally. Serving as the link between design and manufacturing, you analyze data, identify improvement potential, and drive supplier initiatives. With growing experience you will lead larger projects. Business fluent communication in German and English is essential.
Your Impact on Decarbonization
• Increase efficiency of our gas-turbine components
• Lead product & process qualifications (PPQ) and series production of hot-gas parts at assigned suppliers
• Provide design-for-manufacturing feedback and assess fabrication and delivery risks
• Manage NPI projects, track milestones, budgets, and mitigate delays
• Improve supplier processes through statistical data and reduce non-conformance costs
• Drive cost and lead-time reduction projects at coating suppliers
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and feasibility studies for new designs and coating systems
What You Bring
• University degree in mechanical, process, materials, or manufacturing engineering—or comparable qualification (extensive experience may substitute)
• Minimum 5 years of technical experience in machining processes (grinding, milling, EDM-sink and FHEDM, STEM drilling)
• Proven project-management and cross-functional teamwork, preferably with turbine hot-section parts
• Intercultural competence and willingness to travel (~25 %)
• Fluency in English; German is a plus
