Software Release Manager

As Software Release Manager you will lead and coordinate global software releases for wind turbines, ensuring that high-quality software upgrades are delivered efficiently, securely and on time to our fleet.

The Software Verification & Release Management department is responsible for the quality assurance and delivery of all control-software versions for Vestas turbines. Our international team of around 40 colleagues in Aarhus and Porto continuously improves verification and release processes to extend our market leadership in sustainable energy.

Responsibilities

• Align stakeholder requirements with development schedules
• Plan, coordinate and execute global fleet releases
• Ensure quality and scope of each release together with all stakeholders
• Control verification and release activities to deliver on schedule
• Provide transparent risk and progress reports to management and regions
• Coordinate resource planning and prioritisation with line and functional management
• Drive continuous process improvement based on clear KPIs

Qualifications

• Degree in Business or Engineering (or comparable education)
• Minimum 5 years of project-management experience in complex, matrix organisations
• Sound experience with data-driven performance management (e.g. Power BI)
• Knowledge of software development, testing and release processes
• Strong stakeholder and change-management skills
• Excellent communication and leadership competence
