SSAL Mechanical Engineer

Your day-to-day

As a Mechanical Engineer you will design supporting structures for surge arresters and insulators as well as their connection and mounting hardware. You ensure reliability and safety under demanding service conditions and deliver tailor-made solutions for customer requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Design new steel supports, fastening and mounting components including complete drawings and technical documentation
• Optimisation & lightweight design: reduce cost and weight without compromising safety
• Compliance: align designs with national standards (GB, DL/T) and internal safety guidelines
• Technical troubleshooting: support production, prototyping and on-site assembly on structural issues
• Bid support: create customer-specific solutions and BOMs for tenders

Your profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design or Engineering Mechanics
• At least 5 years of experience in metal structures, preferably surge arresters, electrical hardware or steel construction
• Proficient in Creo (3D) and AutoCAD (2D); ANSYS Workbench advantageous
• Solid knowledge of strength of materials, material science and steel/metal selection
• Very good English skills (CET-6 preferred)
• Team player with strong communication skills
