Software Engineer - Rust

About the role

As a Rust Software Engineer you will bridge low-level code and cloud infrastructure at Aira, shaping the post-purchase customer journey. Embedded in the Engagement team you ensure an outstanding user experience and long-term customer engagement.

You focus on the intersection of embedded systems and cloud computing. Together with hardware, software and cloud developers you define requirements, implement and test Rust software and enable seamless device-to-cloud communication.

Your responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software in Rust including CI/CD, testing and automation
• Collaborate with hardware, software and cloud teams for smooth system integration
• Troubleshoot and deploy on embedded and cloud platforms

What you bring

• Solid software development background, preferably in a product or start-up environment
• Strong software design skills and knowledge of common patterns
• 1-2 years of professional Rust experience
• Linux knowledge and experience with agile methods (Scrum/Kanban)

Nice-to-have

• IoT, Bluetooth or wireless communication
• SQL/PostgreSQL, Redis
• DevOps & AWS, Kubernetes/Docker, Terraform
