Algorithm Researcher

Your role

• Develop mathematical models for competing demands on Via’s system.
• Create online algorithms for real-time decision-making, optimizing system utilization while maintaining high service quality for riders.
• Design and implement highly efficient, scalable algorithmic solutions for large-scale, real-world operational demands.
• Apply statistical methods to analyze demand, traffic, and fleet performance, generating insights that drive algorithm development.

Your profile

• M.Sc./Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or similar.
• Strong academic research background in relevant fields.
• Deep expertise in algorithms, with focus on graph theory and combinatorial optimization.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying production-grade algorithms.
• Analytical mindset capable of simplifying complex real-world problems into relevant mathematical models.
• Python experience is an advantage.
• Fast learner with high adaptability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on attitude to implement ideas in code.
