Customs Classification Specialist

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a member of the Global Customs Classification team you will determine accurate customs tariff codes for Siemens Energy entities across North and Latin America. You capture data and document the correct classification under the Harmonized System for multiple jurisdictions in the region.

The role reports to the Global Classification Team and works closely with Customs Operations, Customs Regulatory and internal business stakeholders.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Identify data required for customs classification and gather it from systems and departments such as Engineering, R&D and Projects
• Analyse goods and assign HTS codes, taking technical attributes into account
• Monitor and control classification processes
• Contribute actively to continuous team improvement
• Recommend process changes when necessary

What You Bring

• At least 2 years of HTS classification experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, trade, law or related field
• Fluent Spanish and English (English résumé required)
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Experience with customs/ERP systems (SAP, MIC, Integration Point) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team
