Job Description

We are looking to grow the data capability within Northvolt Materials business operation. Our factories produce large amounts of heterogenous data that get uploaded to our cloud platform, and are then processed, organized, and ready for analysis. You will partner cross-functionally with the Engineering, Production and Quality teams to drive data-driven manufacturing operations. As Data Analyst, you will contribute directly to solving problems, lead discovery of insights, and build a shared knowledge base. We strive to use technology and data to co-develop solutions that matter, and welcome applicants from diverse experience levels and backgrounds.

We are searching for someone passionate about using data visualization, statistics, and modelling to tell stories and support decisions. The ideal candidate is a curious life-long learner who takes ownership and is eager to collaborate to build better processes and products. This role will be a vital member of Digital Solutions team as wells as a key to Northvolt's mission to enable the future of energy.

You will have an important role in the development of our IT and digitalization strategy and will get the opportunity to join a start-up team in one of the most exciting and fast-growing industries today. To succeed in the role, you should be flexible, driven, structured and can act decisively. You are pedagogical and have the ability to arouse commitment. You will be working in a cross-functional team.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with data gathering and presentation to support business decisions.
  • Build analytics solutions for production, quality, and engineering applications to drive Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Validate generated data and drive data quality initiatives.
  • Share knowledge of data tooling, dataset and analytics capabilities across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Manage communication with key stakeholders including developing reports and dashboards to measure project status.
  • Responsible for gathering, detailing and structure data-related requirements from the organization and communicate this to the IT organization in a good way.
  • Drive the IT and digitalization agenda for Northvolt Materials together with the other members in the Digital Solutions team.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have:

  • A university degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or Business (B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
  • 3-5 years’ work experience from an IT & Digitalization related field
  • Data Analytics and BI tools – Grafana, Looker, PowerBI or similar
  • Comfortable writing queries with, for example, SQL, LookML, Query M, DAX
  • Familiar or experience from any of these systems: Atlassian suite – Confluence, Jira etc., ERP – Dynamics, SAP or others, Siemens Teamcenter, Manufacturing execution systems (MES), SCADA and historians – Ignition, ABB or Siemens offerings

Bonus points for:

  • Experience and interest in manufacturing industry
  • Experience from leading IT/digitalization projects (from a business perspective) from start to finish
