Director EPC & BoP (m/f/d)

Region NCE > Customer Project Execution > EPC & BoP

CPX (Customer Project Execution) is responsible for installing, commissioning and finally handover of wind farms to our customers. Working closely together with the customer and other stakeholders is a key parameter to ensure this happens safely, cost efficient and with a high-quality standard. The EPC & BOP department within CPX oversees the bidding and construction of the Balance of Plant (BOP) for wind farms. Their responsibilities include in-house basic Engineering for the BOP, preparing Requests for Quotations for subcontractors, developing technical and economic proposals for customers and offer technical support during construction.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead an international team of Project Managers, Specialists, and Engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations
  • Strategic Direction: Set strategic goals for BoP construction in alignment with overall project goals and collaborate with internal stakeholders like Bid Management, Contract Management, and Procurement
  • BoP Infrastructure Management: Oversee BoP performance, compliance, and cost monitoring, working closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and efficient resource allocation
  • Sales and Contract Support: Ensure the delivery of BoP sales packages and negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and clients in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout BoP construction, verifying adherence to project specifications
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate construction-related risks, such as delays or material shortages
  • Contingency Planning: Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges during BoP construction

  Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in business or engineering is required
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive business and management experience, particularly in environments as complex as EPC projects
  • Proven experience working in an international setting
  • Skilled in handling complex contracts
  • Fluent in English

  • Capable of completing multiple tasks simultaneously and leading complex, cross-functional teams effectively
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven ability to drive change management initiatives, promoting the adoption of new processes and industry best practices
