Job Description

We are looking for a experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our passionate Electrical Maintenance team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in contributing to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer at Northvolt, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing electrical maintenance strategies for our factory, ensuring reliability, cost-effectiveness, and safety. You will serve as a hub for planning and scheduling all plannable maintenance activities, interface with operators and technicians to identify necessary improvements, and coordinate with other maintenance teams. Additionally, you will support the development and optimization of maintenance programs, evaluate spare parts requirements, and contribute to creating a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop and optimize electrical maintenance programs for factory equipment in collaboration with the electrical team.

• Follow up on the performance and reliability of factory equipment, analysing data to identify areas for improvement.

• Set up long-term maintenance activities, including scheduling major reinvestments and evaluating spare parts requirements.
• Provide support when larger reinvestments in equipment are needed, ensuring alignment with maintenance goals and objectives.
• Work with the team to develop and maintain a safe work environment, prioritizing safety in all maintenance activities.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

• Fluency in both Swedish and English
• Bachelor’s degree engineering or any related fields or experience
• High computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project)
• Previous experience in maintenance or production, minimum 3 years.
• Good technical knowledge about electrical power grid both HV and LV, and IT-network.
• Knowledge of the Swedish laws and regulation. High electrical safety mindset.
• Proven skills in working with continuous improvements in industrial environment.

Bonus points for:

• Experience and interest in manufacturing industry
• Fluency in other languages
• Experience from a multi-cultural environment
