Director of Engineering, Mobile

As Director of Engineering, Mobile you will lead Via’s cutting-edge mobile apps. You will craft products, technology and delivery, devise strategic plans, design architecture, review code, drive test automation and full CI, recruit brilliant people, and mentor mobile engineering teams. Automated test suites, monitoring solutions and CI pipelines will ensure high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute a long-term vision and strategy for Via’s mobile teams
• Drive the technical roadmap and prioritization with cross-functional partners
• Coach, support and provide feedback to accelerate team members’ career growth
• Act as a subject-matter expert in mobile engineering across the R&D center
• Continuously improve engineering processes together with peer managers
• Foster a culture of excellence, innovation and inclusion

Requirements:

• 5+ years leading mobile teams, evaluating technologies, architecture and design
• 8+ years building complex iOS/Android/Flutter applications
• Full-stack plus mobile experience is a strong plus
• BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
• Team player, self-motivated with passion for code craftsmanship
• Experience with high-scale, production-grade projects
• Strong leadership, mentoring and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: USD 265,000–325,000 per year, depending on experience (excl. equity)
